Farm Feature - Greg Neeb - Farm Partner Since 2016

Meet Greg Neeb!

Here at Sargent Farms we understand that you want to know where your food comes from. We’re proud of the people and families who grow our product, and are excited for you to meet them through these Farm Feature stories which highlight how our local, fresh food makes its way from their family to yours.

Greg Neeb partnered with Sargent Farms the day he started in the chicken business, and since that day in August 2016 his journey has been anything but traditional. Along with many of our partners, Greg’s family has been in the farming business for generations. Despite studying and practicing Engineering, a field he and his wife Marie also work in today, Greg knew chicken farming would be perfect for him and his family in the long term. His young children are already involved in the day-to-day work of farming, and love being part of the family business. Alek (10) loves helping with the daily chores and is very detail oriented and proficient for someone so young. Anna (8) focuses her time on animal welfare; she loves the chickens and taking care of them.

Greg and Marie are just as environmentally conscious as they are family focused. Their property is outfitted with large solar panels which generate energy that the federal government purchases. Greg knew the initial cost of installing the panels would be nothing compared to the benefits he would reap long-term: the positive effects of this sustainable effort help offset the farm’s environmental footprint, generating enough power to run their climate-controlled barn during peak times.

For their commitment to energy conservation, their family-minded approach to business and for their loving care for their animals, Sargent Farms is proud to partner with the Neeb family who help put fresh, quality food on your family’s table.
